/ statement

My work considers patterns of perceptual experience in relationship to time, space, memory, and identity.

I investigate how we craft meaning from abstract phenomena of time. Vivid color systems become metaphors for the pools of sensory rhythms we bathe in— offering planes for playful exploration into the space between memory configurations. Drawing from these individually curated collections of time fragments, we pattern the identity we come to understand and express ourselves by.

For me, this symbiotic event of human perception is the most intriguing paradox. Our relationship with Time is an ongoing process of which we are both passive recipients of, yet equally responsible for actively shaping. Its patterns are dynamic, and change is its constant. Each one of my series plays within these fluctuating currents, guiding each unresolved movement into definitive maps of a moment.

Nature uses only the longest threads to weave her patterns , so each small piece of her fabric reveals the organization of the entire tapestry.
